Purvanchal Gramin Seva Samiti (PGSS) is a social service wing of the Diocese of Gorakhpur. It is located in Gorakhpur, one of the major cities in India's largest populated state Uttar Pradesh. It operates in rural and urban areas of Gorakhpur and adjoining districts towards empowerment of the disadvantaged.

PGSS is of the view that development is much more than what the Government does. It visualises development as improved quality of life, cultural regeneration, social justice, cohesion, political awareness and empowerment. It firmly believes that development cannot be bread alone. PGSS always keeps these facts in mind while working with the community.

The headquarters of PGSS is located on the outskirts of Gorakhpur city in a well equipped building surrounded by lush green lawns. Training facilities are available for use of the Civil Society Organisations. More>>>

This is the medical wing of PGSS. The hospital runs Out Patient Department (OPD) and has facilities for admission of patients. The hospital specialises in mother child healthcare. More>>>
