Community Based Organisations

AN ORGANISATION COMMITTED TO INTEGRAL DEVELOPMENT AND EMPOWERMENT OF THE DISADVANTAGED IN EASTERN UTTAR PRADESH, INDIA

After having a number of awareness programmes on various issues, the target groups reach to a stage of when they are about to take decisions for themselves. This necessitates a formal group structure. Over the years the following CBOs have been promoted:

	1.	Purvanchal Gramin Mahila Mandal Sangh This is the CBO of rural women in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
	2.	Nav Jyoti Mahila Sangharsh Mandal This is the CBO of struggling women
	3.	Adolescent Girls Committees These are the groups of adolescent girls in rural areas.
	4.	Women Health and Rights Advocacy Partnership This is the CBO working on health issue under guidance of Kriti Resource Centre through PGSS.
